IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS AND CSC
Updated 7/29/20 9:05AM
Hello, All –
Update: 7/28/20: Charlotte Street Computers has changed its business model during this challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our primary focus is on service until further notice. The shop doors are open for drop off and pickup. We recommend that you schedule your own drop off below to minimize time spent in the shop, and to help with our call volumes, which have increased significantly in recent months. For precautionary health reasons, there is no showroom to inquire about or handle the current Apple product line. See below for more about how we are handling sales by phone and email.
Aug 5, 2020 UPDATE: We’ll take 5% off of the diagnostic fee if you book your own repair drop off HERE
and you won’t have to wait for us to respond to a voicemail. The volume of these calls is often beyond our ability to deal with on the same day. Of course, if prefer to talk to a person, we are still committed to getting back you by the end of the next business day. Sales calls should go to Tom. See below.
We aren’t stocking many computers (to keep overhead low), but we might have what you need and we are taking orders. Details HERE.
I wanted to take an opportunity to outline the new services and how they’re being offered. For all of the customers that are used to booking one on ones with Tom, or onsites with Keith, we’re still available to book remotes from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This remote service will enable us to do everything except hardware repair, for example:
* Remove viruses
* Set passwords
* Figure out why your computer is doing the thing that is making you angry
* Help you download and operate the software that your friends and loved ones are telling you that they want you to use to communicate with them (and teach you how to use it)
We’re going to be offering other classes, so please look at our website periodically because I’m going to try not to overpopulate anyone’s inbox with unnecessary updates. Or, if you’re interested in getting a special email regarding the new classes, click here
to sign up for a more frequent newsletter and we’ll make sure that you’re informed. I’ve always wanted to have a class on how to talk to Siri, Google, and Alexa. The class would outline prompts that you could give your devices to make them do different things. But I want to hear your ideas on classes that we can offer and ways that our customers can stay connected with their friends and loved ones.
