Class sizes are small, with limited seating. Be sure to register early as many of the classes are filling quickly. Most classes can be registered online – or email classes@charlottestreetcomputers.com to reserve your seat or Call 828.225.6600.

2012 Classes

Classes for 2012 will continue to be free to those who bought their Mac or iPad at Charlotte Street Computers. We will be charging the small fee of $9.99 for those who purchased elsewhere. Give us a call at 225-6600 if your CSC Mac/iPad receipt does not have a Coupon Code.

Mac OS Basics 2012

Exploring the basic elements of the Mac experience, including:

• The Apple Menu
• Spotlight (Find your Stuff)
• The Finder, the Dock and Applications Folder (10.6) / LaunchPad (10.7)
• System Preferences
• Exposé (10.6) / Mission Control (10.7)
• Time Machine

iPhoto Basics 2012

Exploring iPhoto, the Mac’s built in photo manager including:

• Importing Photos
• Events and Albums
• Basic Photo Editing
• Time Machine Backup

1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month – 12:15pm – 1:00pm
Note: Instructor will be using iPhoto 11. Those with iPhoto 09 will have similar features available. Users with older versions of iPhoto will find it hard to follow along.

iMovie Basics 2012

By popular request, we are bringing back “iMovie” on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Learn the time saving tips to help bring your home movies to life. The class includes topics such as:

• Importing Video Footage
• Add “Moving” Photos
• Overlay Music Tracks and Sound Effects.
• Edit Volume of Sound Tracks
• Adding Transitions, Titles and Special Effects.
• Exporting your movie

GarageBand Basics 2012

We will be offering Garageband (your Mac’s built-in Recording Studio) on the 5th Tuesday of months that have a 5th Tuesday. This is roughly every 2nd or 3rd month. In the class we’ll cover:

• Acoustic Tracks
• Software Tracks
• Volume Adjustments
• Retakes
• Exporting to iTunes
